Childrens Wish Foundation and Firefighters Burn Fund Receive Support
The Manitoba Electrical League Inc (MEL) is a not for profit industry Association and acts the voice of the Electrical Industry in Manitoba. The organization has enjoys a historic past with its origins dating back to the 1950’s. The MEL serves as the conduit through which various sectors of the electrical industry manufacturers; distributors, agents, and contractors exchange information, ideas, knowledge and programs that benefit the industry and the users of electricity. The League offers programs and services which can impact a members bottom-line.
The organization is governed by a Board of Directors and Executive committee with day to day management and administration provided by a small professional staff.
The valuable work of the Manitoba Electrical League includes education and training, networking, representation to government, marketing programs and intra-industry liaison. In 2012 the league is embarking on new initiatives to grow the membership base, provide excellence in electrical safety training and on going educational opportunities both for ownership and management as well as employess. The League also has available some outstanding loyalty programs for members.
This promises to be an exciting year as Connections Showcase 2012 will be held May 30th and 31st. Showcase will fetaure many of North America's leading electrical equipment manufacturers showing the latest in electrical technology and equipment.
The MEL through its networking events gives back to the community through charitable fund raising initiatives for CancerCare, Firefighters Burn Fund and Hungry for Change (a national electrical industry initiative for Canadian Feed The Children)
The MEL is also proud to be affiliated with ILEA the International League of Electrical Associations.
